Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) refers to the alignment of the planning, prioritization and implementation function of technologies, applications, and process deployment to streamline and enhance financial performance for the Tampa Bay Division. This includes linking strategic and operational planning with financial planning; the evaluation of plans and activities with responsibilities for technologies, applications, and practices for the collection, integration, analysis, and presentation of business information.
This position has the responsibility to analyze opportunities, products, technologies, and ideas that may enhance business growth or build efficiencies within the Tampa Bay Division business units from operational demands and/or from Corporate office strategic demands by systematically documenting and evaluating those demands and their underlying business motivation. This analysis includes the responsibilities of legacy applications, hosting infrastructure and business intelligence infrastructure strategy. This IBP role in IT planning will aid business owners, analysts and end users to view, analyze, govern, and align requests for services and investments with business priorities. The role will partner with cross-functional business units and/or groups to drive operational excellence within selected initiatives will require engagement in problem solving, project planning, and program management of the business
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing an interdisciplinary team to manage and support the business needs of the company, with a goal to proactively identify opportunities to enhance business growth and build efficiencies.
- Leading, organizing, and managing the Integrated Business Planning staff, (diverse group of BHN employees, located across varying geographical areas), who will employ a wide variety of skill sets to meet the demands of the business.
- Identifying and documenting demands, along with business and technical parameters, relationship to corporate goals and impact on the as-is architecture.
- Reviewing demands to consolidate or reject redundancies and to break down high-level requests into discrete demands.
- Statusing and reporting of work in progress for all demand, including its approval, rejection, and formulation in detailed proposals as well as establish an effective communication path between appropriate stakeholders.
- Comparing and cross-referencing similar demands based on any element of the architecture.
- Initiating proposals, by bundling like demands and assigning these to project proposals, with consolidated business benefits, delivery dates, and action holders.
- Assigning tasks and responsibilities, and employing collaborative features such as system monitors to alert users of changes made or changes required to IT artifacts related to demands.
- Deriving coherent project proposal specifications from analyzed demands which are automatically fed into the enterprise and application architectures management process to expedite architecture solution planning.
- Creating or enhancing methods to improve business decision making by using fact based support systems.
- Building efficiency in the collection and presentation of critical business data.
- Leading the process of interdepartmental alignment and coordination around business information.
- Overseeing and monitoring the use of data across the Division, assuring alignment with executive and corporate initiatives.
- Providing leadership around business process development and redesign.
- Overseeing new information service initiatives focused on improving the overall growth of the business.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the competitive landscape.
- Ability to assimilate, assess, validate and conceptualize analysis findings, and to advise and recommend business solutions in support of findings.
- Successfully demonstrate financial planning for business case justification and prioritization.
- Ability to translate business intelligence into business action with adaptive agility.
- Strong resource/customer management and leadership skills.
Required Experience
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related field, or equivalent. MBA preferred.
- Five to eight years experience in financial planning, operations planning, business analysis, business process management, or related fields.
